Unclaimed Property
Property and Evident Unit - Unclaimed Property
The Property and Evident Unit is responsible for the handling, processing, and documentation of all law‑enforcement‑related property and evidence. This includes items impounded as evidence, found property, property designated for destruction, and items held for safekeeping.
Property belonging to the owner of record can be released by appointment only during regular business hours. To schedule an appointment or to verify whether property may be released following the completion of a case per the trial court, please contact the Property and Evidence Unit at 520-351-4724.
In accordance with ARS 12‑941 through 12‑945, notice is hereby given that unclaimed property must be claimed within 30 days of the posted notice. Failure to do so will be considered abandonment, and the property may be sold, donated, or utilized by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. A signature, valid photo identification, and suitable proof of ownership are required for property release.
To claim a firearm, a background check will be conducted to verify status and confirm the firearm owner is not a prohibited-possessor as required by Ariona Revised Statutes. Please call 520-351-4724 to schedule an appointment to claim property.
WALK‑INS NOT ACCEPTED – All property releases are by appointment only.
