Press Release: DUI checkpoint this weekend, don't drive impaired!

Sobriety checkpoints will be held this weekend in conjunction with saturation patrol by deputies for the purpose of detecting and removing impaired drivers from our roadways. .
The goal of the upcoming checkpoints is to discourage people from driving impaired. Motorists who are not impaired can expect only short delays of two to three minutes while passing through the checkpoint.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to adhere to two basic principles when consuming alcohol, prescription drugs or illegal drugs. Do not drive impaired and always use a designated driver. Following these simple principles could save your life of the life of someone you love.
Drive impaired; you choose your ride.
