Recognized as one of the leading law enforcement agencies in the United States, the Pima County Sheriff's Department serves the 352,105 people living in the unincorporated areas of Pima County. It is the 7th largest county in the nation, encompassing 9,241 square miles, with 123 miles shared with Mexico's border. PCSD employs over 516 commissioned officers and more than 872 civilian and corrections personnel and utilizes the services of over 350 volunteers.
