The Pima County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers were awarded the 2004 Governor's Volunteer Service Award by Governor Janet Napolitano on April 18, 2005, at a reception held in Phoenix, Arizona. The SAV – Tucson, Green Valley, and Ajo – provide invaluable service not only to the Department, but to the communities they serve.

“Throughout our State’s history, volunteers have been dedicated to protecting and preserving Arizona’s natural environment, mentoring, and tutoring young people, feeding the hungry and homeless, donating time to non-profits, and countless other services to citizens and communities. The outstanding volunteer service that you have provided to the State of Arizona is exemplary. Thank you for your leadership and for your commitment to serving your community."

Governor Janet Napolitano

The Pima County Sheriff's Department thanks each SAV for their dedication to the community and service to Pima County.

Congratulations, well deserved!
