Anti-Terrorism Awareness Program Press Conference

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have partnered in developing an Anti-Terrorism Program that will be offered to community groups and businesses throughout Pima County.  The Program is intended to educate the public and businesses on activities and behaviors common to terrorists or other criminal activities. Through this Program, the partnership between the Sheriff’s Department and the FBI will be extended to the general public and businesses within Pima County in order to maintain the safe and secure environment we enjoy here in Pima County.

The media is invited to attend a press conference on March 17, 2008, at 1:30pm, in the Sheriff’s Operation Center, located at 1750 E. Benson Highway.  Sheriff Dupnik and Special Agent Amy Hess, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, will be introducing the new Program at the press conference.

Also in attendance will be Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th Surgeon General of the United States (2002-2006), as well as Ms. Leesa Berens Morrison, Director of Arizona Homeland Security.
