Awarding Lifesaving Gift

Deputy Robby is a K-9 with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.  He is a Belgian Malinois and is expected to make quite a contribution to the Department.  Unlike other deputies, Robby didn’t have access to the gear that could maybe one day save his life in a dangerous situation . . . until now.

Robby has received a lifesaving gift from Protect Police K-9, a non-profit organization based out of Tucson, Arizona, that is dedicated to providing bullet resistant vests to police dogs.  He has received his very own bullet and stab resistant vest.  The armored vest given to Robby will help to protect him while he is protecting and serving the community he works in.

Protect Police K-9 is pleased to present this lifesaving gift to Robby who, like so many police dogs, put their lives on the line every day.  The vest received by Robby is the 127th protective vest the Protect Police K-9 organization has donated to canine units across Arizona.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department thanks Michael Valdez, President and founder of Protect Police K-9, for his dedication to keeping our K-9s safe in the line of duty.
