Wanted Fugitive

The Pima County Sheriff’s Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (F.I.S.T.) is actively seeking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Jesus Manuel Moran (DOB 01/14/67).

Mr. Moran is wanted for one count of Manslaughter, nine counts of Endangerment, and one count of Criminal Damage resulting from a 2002 collision on State Route 86, mile post 164.  Mr. Moran was responsible for a three (3) vehicle collision in which Elijah Archuleta, a seven-month old child, was killed.  The investigation revealed that Mr. Moran was intoxicated while driving his vehicle the night of the collision.  Mr. Moran originally provided law enforcement the name of Guadalupe Bustamonte as his legal name.  A warrant was issued under the name of Guadalupe Bustamonte in 2004.  An attempt to locate Bustamonte was unsuccessful, however through 88-CRIME tips, and additional investigation, it was discovered that Bustamonte’s real name was in fact Jesus Manuel Moran.  The warrant was amended under the correct name.

The Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation continues to offer reward funds in the amount of $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Jesus Manuel Moran.  88-CRIME has also offered up to $1,000.00.  The Archuleta family has also made a $1,000.00 offer.

The Archuleta family will make themselves available for questions on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 10:00am at Elijah Archuleta’s gravesite.  He is buried at South Lawn Mortuary and Cemetery located at 5401 S. Park Avenue.

Anyone with information about Jesus Manuel Moran is encouraged to contact Detective Paul Montano of F.I.S.T. at 351-4853 or 88-CRIME.
