On December 19, 2007, at approximately 2:00pm, deputies from the San Xavier District responded to a bank robbery at 3041 S. Kinney Road. A male suspect walked into the Bank of the West and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect implied that he had a weapon and that he would harm the teller if she did not comply. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
At this time, Pima County Sheriff’s Robbery/Assault Detectives are looking for a Caucasian male in his 20s-30s, weighing approximately 220-230 pounds. He has black hair with facial hair, but no mustache. The suspect also had a noticeable twitch on the left side of his jaw. He was wearing a black beanie cap, gray sweat shirt, and white cargo pants.
Detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect as well as the video of the robbery. The photographs and video are available at the Pima County Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 1750 E. Benson Highway. Anyone who has information about the suspect or the bank robbery is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME
