Stabbing

On November 11, 2007, at approximately 10:00pm, deputies from the Foothills District responded to an armed robbery at the Catalina Mart/McDonald’s Restaurant located at 3800 W. Linda Vista Blvd.  A male (suspect) entered the business and approached the counter at which time he displayed a knife and began attacking a male clerk behind the counter.  The suspect is described as a hispanic male, 5’7” to 5’8”, 140-150 lbs., possibly in his mid to late thirties with acne scars on his cheeks and chin.  Also, the suspect had a one and one-half inch long vertical scar on his chin.  He has dark hair and was wearing a long sleeved shirt with dark pants.

The suspect stabbed the clerk multiple times before fleeing the business in a red and white mid-sized 70’s Ford truck.  The clerk was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has pictures of the suspect with the victim and another clerk prior to the stabbing.  Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.  The pictures will be made available at the Pima County Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 1750 E. Benson Hwy.
