Pima County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are looking for Fred Cardenas Laguna (DOB 01/15/52), as a person of interest in the June 19, 2007, murder of Mamie Gong (DOB 11/12/42).   Mamie Gong was found deceased inside an abandoned trailer in the 12700 blk. of W. Bristolwood Lane.

Mr. Laguna reportedly found personal property belonging to the victim shortly after her disappearance.  He turned that property over to authorities through a local priest.  Several attempts have been made to locate Mr. Laguna without success.  Mr. Laguna is believed to be in the Phoenix area.  He has been known to live on the streets.
