Homicide Update

On April 9, 2007, the Pima County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit investigated the murder of Jeffrey Cassell (DOB 06/16/72), in the 4100 blk. of North Gregorio Circle.  Mr. Cassell was shot outside his residence at approximately 7:40pm.

Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in connection with the homicide.  A digital camera was found inside a white four-door passenger sedan that was left at the residence.  A photograph was taken, prior to the murder, of a male subject in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.  The subject is described as a Hispanic male, heavy build, mustache, with dark hair.

A photograph of the subject is available at the Pima County Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 1750 E. Benson Hwy.  Anyone with information about the identity of this male subject is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.

Detectives have information that a person associated with the vehicle at the time of the shooting was possibly seriously injured.  A blood trail was found leaving the scene.  It is unknown whether or not the subject in the photo is the injured person.
