The Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s Rincon substation is located at 8999 E. Tanque Verde Road. The office is open to the public Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and the phone number is 351-4511.
Deputies assigned to the Rincon District respond to all types of calls for service and provide general law enforcement patrol. Working under a philosophy of Mission Oriented Policing and Community Involvement, deputies utilize every available resource to address any problem that may arise.
Keeping with the Community Involvement philosophy, citizens are encouraged to join and participate in Neighborhood Watch Programs. Homeowner associations, neighborhood watch groups, and other organizations may request a deputy attend a meeting to discuss criminal activity that may be occurring, and address concerns or issues the group may have. Crime statistic reports may be presented at these meetings to explain the types of crimes that are occurring and in what areas. If you observe suspicious activity in your neighborhood - report it! It is important that any suspicious activity be reported to local law enforcment.
The public is encouraged to utilize the many safety and home security programs offered by the Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers, which include: home security inspections and home video identification program. For a complete list of services and programs available, visit the Volunteers page or contact the SAV at 351-4680. |
