The Green Valley District is the southernmost of the six patrol districts of the Pima County Sheriff's Department. It is located to the south and east of Sahuarita, following the I-19 corridor south to the Santa Cruz County line. The largest population center is the unincorporated community of Green Valley, with a population of about 26,000 residents. Green Valley is predominately known as a retirement community, with a median age of 72. Though Green Valley is experiencing a building boom, and has more year-round residents than ever, its population is somewhat transient as it fluctuates with the seasons. more...

Traffic stop

Three squads of deputies are deployed in Green Valley; each squad is supervised by a sergeant. Each sergeant is responsible for the actions of deputies under his/her command and the daily operations of the District. Should you have any questions or concerns, you may contact the on-duty sergeant by calling the District office at (520) 351-6711, during normal business hours. If you wish to speak with the on-duty sergeant, you may also call (520) 351-4900 and request that the on-duty sergeant be contacted.

The Green Valley Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers assist the Department's law enforcement and public safety mission by conducting daily patrols within the community, conducting daily home checks, and provding fingerprinting services to the community. The Green Valley SAV also maintain and operate a Department Command Post vehicle to assist law enforcement on tactical call-outs and major crime scene support. These are just a few of the many services that the Green Valley SAV provide to the Sheriff's Department and the surrounding communities.
